Oh it's bad either way but I'm pretty sure that anyone feeling guilty of uncomfortable with that even in fiction, abandoned the series long long time ago, or more like they didn't even bother reading it in the first place, because otherwise that would be just plain hypocrisy and no amount of "I just like trainwrecks or I want to see them in jail" comments would be enough to cover it.
