I absolutely love the recurring mytheme that humanity and dragons have some hidden kinship. From Cadmus of Mediterranean mythology to the crossbreeds of Dark Souls and its dragon covenant, there is something there. Dragons possess all the beastly traits we lack, and the familiar spark of sophonce.
We are not fallen elves, we are not risen hobbits, we are the distant kin to the rulers of the whole natural realm.

More or less, it's just like the last part of the chapter said, That Tree in Silver Dreamscape is a Dragon Remnant(Corpse) and since MC(Human body) eat the Fruit, he evolved into part of dragon kin.
Later MC(Human Body) will absorb that Tree too and MC will be able to Turn into dragon like Form
