There is a weird irony that the only time the “harem” works, is during these close, one on one emotional scenes like this one or with Roxanne a few chapters ago.
But the love disappears the second they get together as a harem. It’s just lust, sex, and orgies. But no “love” if that makes any sense.
Orgies are always about lust, that's why most of the best harems have the MC sleep(have sex) with his girls separately and not all together

I guess that comes down to tastes, while having reassuring sex with just one of your partners from time to time is fine, being able to have them all at once is also good, idk about the girls' POV, but it would certainly put at least me in a great mood and make me think something like "for such incredible girls to be willing to go to such lengths for my selfish wishes, I better not fuck up this time".
But also, as someone else said before, as long as you are trying to please your partners and make them enjoy the moment, it doesn't matter if it's monogamous or a harem; there is love in the relationship.

On the dining table? I guess a little extra sauce to get the other 2 in that mood doesn't hurt.

Guys, do you think this explanation was enough? Honestly, I don't think it was enough, even if it was convincing and acceptable. I think the protagonist should have explained in detail every time he felt grateful to her, and he should have clarified every misunderstanding. He should have told a long, logical, and coherent story. He should have told her some of his secrets that Roxanne doesn't know, like his ability to see empty skill slots in weapons and things like that. He should have made small concessions regarding his excessive caution. Honestly, I think his explanation and clarification of the misunderstanding and his solution to the problem weren't enough. If I were Michio, I would have spent the whole day explaining her favor to me, how important she is to me, and why she's important without getting bored. But well, that's not surprising. The protagonist is bad and fails at expressing his feelings and thoughts, so it's not surprising. I can clearly imagine the words I would have said to her if I were Michio because I think I'm very good at understanding and expressing emotions.

حدث ذلك بطريقة أكثر ورقةً ولطفاً وعمقاً وإثارةً مما كنت أتوقع، أمرٌ لطيف أيضاً... :glee:
You know, I don't think it's good; it's too simple. There were many points he should have mentioned, many things he should have explained, but he didn't because he's not good at expressing his thoughts and feelings accurately.

I notice that he didn't actually say "I love you."
He didn't tell Roxanne he loved her either because he doesn't know he loves her; he just thinks he's grateful to her. In his eyes, Roxanne is better than him in many ways, but he never said he loves her. So do you think he'd tell Sherry he loves her? If he were going to tell her he loves her, he would have said it to Roxanne first, before Sherry. So it's not surprising he didn't tell Sherry he loves her; he just thinks he's grateful to them and doesn't know he loves Roxanne. Even Roxanne doesn't know she loves him; she thinks everything she does is normal because she's the first.

One of my main gripes with this series is it spends almost no time developing the characters or their relationships.

Well yeah that's kind of how harem works. Time management, setting boundaries, asking for turns etc. even in real life harem in history.
It's just smart to actually try to manage them. Not letting them be a free for all.

The principle is if a man can not love his wives equally he should never have one anyway.

The principle of harem in the first place I believe was to save a widowed woman/taking in poor woman legally. But its noble meaning is twisted into WHY MAN ALLOWED MULTIPLE WOMAN BUT WOMAN NOT ALLOWED??!

You take a wife/harem ONLY IF you can take care of her well being and keep her happy, in return the harem should show affection for the man effort to takes care of them, which cost a lot and not taking them for a joke.
