Cognito Hazard Level: Self-replicatorOk, so what if Lowell is not a single person, but as the old man said (let's call him Big Bro, if you get the reference), that descent is transferable.
They just need a person who is brainwashed into believing that they are Lowell and then transfers the descent to them; in this way, 'Lowell' will never die.
And maybe this whole Orwellian situation is created to achieve two things:
This whole thing is just a massive program to create lots of humans with descent. They don't care if Lowell dies; he is replaceable.
- Radio broadcast of Lowell's voice everywhere.
- Stressful situation for everyone.
And as we know, Descent is transferable, so in the end, they will capture everyone with Descent and use it to create some kind of superhuman army.
Then the real true villain is the Big Bro and the people working with him.
It's an interesting idea, but I feel it'll be a missed opportunity if Lowell isn't a specific character that our main hero meets; I hope he'll be more personable and engaging than a moustache twirling villain, I think there's a lot of potential for him.Ok, so what if Lowell is not a single person, but as the old man said (let's call him Big Bro, if you get the reference), that descent is transferable.

Since we don't actually know how descents work, he could have an ability that outright cancels them. It'd make sense both in-universe to have someone capable of nullifying descents be the one creating them and holding their leash; and, thematically, as it'd be the suppression of individual's base desires/instincts in service of LowellThat dude with the heavy shading is such a non-threatening character in the face of a kid that can just erase someone with a single thought, yet he's got such a demanding presence despite just being fancy looking cannon fodder. Can't wait to see how he interacts with Kiriya.
