My only question is why you haven't started reading yuri yet... not because there's any hurry, just to know if the genre works for you.

@Manko-sensei i read manga but DEFINITELY not as much as the average MD user. So with my already inconsistent and less amount of reading, me specifically starting quite an obscure genre (yuri) was kinda out of the question.

Sometimes I do that to people. In this case, it's not intended and you have my sincere apologies.

It's not that popular but it's easier than starting with, let's say, fantasy or isekai, which can be far more "obscure" (the 2nd meaning). As any other genre not every work shares the same contents, from SoL to adventures or tragedy to comedy there's everything in yuri, I always recommend to start with Kase-san because it lasts for many years both inside the story and IRL and you don't need any specific knowledge from the genre.

YES. My favorite one so far I think is either Adachi to Shimamura or Rainbows after storms, if you want some manhwa stuff I REALLY like I love Amy and Please Bully me Miss Vilainsss. I can give so much more but this might seem a little too mental if the message is too long lmao.

Also none of these really have anything majorly sexual, none of them have the suggestive tag im pretty sure and its majorly fluff so have fun

Mine are love bullet, garan no hime, sherbert above the sea of fog (one of my favs), and the guy she was interested in wasn’t a guy at all (love the art style in this one)

I'm new to this site(literally since yesterday), but I'm obsessed with the Yuri genre. Seeing someone take an interest in it warms my heart. Lowfyie is right, Adachi to Shimamura is the best! I've read the manga several times, and I'm currently reading the light novel. I originally got into Yuri during a YT rabbit hole in the middle of the night using an old DVD player in my basement. I've never met a Yuri fan IRL, and I haven't had the guts to find somewhere to talk to them online. Now I'm going to go read rainbows after storms before I sprain my brain trying to socialize.

Its an incredible place but you just gotta be careful walking around not to step on any landmines, Id know 😔
EDIT: Though toxic yuri does have a place in my heart, you gotta consume it in moderation like a drug, toxic yuri is my drug
