May I ask what happened?

To sum it up:
1: A certain group translates a manga, it's good quality + free, and they are still actively releasing (having done so as recently as a few days ago) but they're two chapters behind the most recent release in Japan.
2: A second group comes along, one that's 100% profit motivated and notorious for picking up random stuff for a few chapters get donations and then abandoning the series, they release those latest two chapters.

3: This guy comes along and basically says the first group / their release schedule should die in a fire and is basically fully hostile, he claims that no group should take any time to scanlate any series and that all uploads should be completely current with the releases in Japan, because scanlation should take no time at all "as long as it's not full of difficult to translate text" and seems to think that the only thing that happens with manga scanlation is the initial raw translation draft.

4: When informed of the complexities of manga scanlation and the difficulties of coordinating a team of people to do the average manga release, he doesn't respond at all and instead just goes around giving likes to anybody with similarly inane opinions to his.

tl;dr - he wants his manga to be free, good and fast, and if he doesn't get it he'll attack anyone who was only giving him two out of three of those things. Best case scenario is that things continue on as they were three days ago, worst case is the guys working on it lose interest on working on it as a result of the drama and we get slow releases or none at all.
