I swear back in the day when V3 first started they did actually give you -2 but then someone abused it and got the mods to change to 0. I remember there being a whole thread about it.

Also, if you're referring to the takedowns, all those comments are still there and the reactions on them still count. However, navigating to one of those comment threads is a bit tricky for anyone who hasn't commented on the thread already.
