Continuing this when you actually ask people what do you love about your partner it’s not some grand thing it’s lots and lots of little things. I have a memory as a kid my father laughing and hugging my mom after she drank her coffee in the morning and sighed and said I love coffe and he said I love when you do that every morning. Love is truly noticing your partner and loving all their weird habits and gross and glorious bits. I want to read a story where that is shown but I have yet to find one like it le sigh

"Romance" (the genre) is merely a product of consumerism designed to sell a certain kind of entertainment, if someone thinks it resembles (or is) to any form of love then they don't have any idea about love.

@Manko-sensei well obviously but I just wish there was actually a romance that could actually represent well yah know romance. And I know the romance genre especially things like romantacy for booktok is just commercialized porn and romanticized toxic relationships. But our society is also so obsessed with the idea of romance and not actually romance itself we’re more in love with the idea of love then we love.
