Getting into Warhammer 40k is easier than this.

I at least know the major faction, like the Ta'u, Orc, Chaos Demon, Elf, Tyranids, Human, and Necron.

Things like the main chapter with some of their primach like salamander with vulkan is easier to remember, even the name of chaos gods Tzeentch, Slaanesh, Nurgle, Khorne.

I even know something niche like TF2.

I remember being discouraged by the number of games, some being for PC-98, and by the fact that finding them was kind of hard (with a translation, of course). But your message made me curious and i've looked at how much official stuff there is beside the games. 18 official mangas and fanbooks on mangadex, some novels by ZUN, plus a gazzilions of games. Nope, i won't do it either !

Also, if I do it, i will want to read of the yuri doujins made on it and i will die.

Or you can ignore the lore and consume the doujinshi/animations/music without it, that's what a lot of people do. Here's a cool song that's mixes both a song from Eurobeat and Touhou:

The lore is surprisingly complex for what seems to be a simple rage inducing bullet hell game franchise.

It requires you to know quite a ton of actual asian mythology to get most of it.

I understand it, btw. A bit out of the loop with the newer content, but pretty good still.

I can't do that.... I don't know what the reason why Scarlet imprisoned flandre, why it appear so many times. I see it quite a lot too, is Marissa dead? Is that cannon or just doujinshi?

Again, some reoccurring character like the yuuka the sunflower girl. What her story and her deal?
