It would be nice if they remade the whole 3 seasons, they removed so much stuff and made Touma pretty flat when he's a pretty complex character. But I'm just holding out hope that when the new Railgun season comes out, they'll use that momentum for the Toaru New Testament 1st season adaption.
I reaaaally hope they don't screw up the Magic God arc in the future seasons, that's the peak of Toaru franchise.

More like Railgun is their cash cow with how much favoritism JC Staff shows towards it (like we got the newest Railgun before Index, usually it's the other way around), but I suppose that's life with how much everyone loves Misaka.

If it's any consolation, I believe that's the last time something that dark will happen in the series (though I haven't read Genesis Testament yet).

I disagree, it really showed how serious things were in the underworld and is still referenced even in New Testament, so it wasn't some one off thing. Peoples lives were changed by these events, including both the killer, Mugino, who regretted doing it, and the sister of Frenda, Fremea, who lost her big sister.

Yeah, if you want to know about Fremea, it's actually the girl on the front cover of the 1st volume of NT. The 1st season will be pretty hype if they adapt it correctly since it'll be about Hamazura and Accelator trying to protect Fremea from people from the underworld. Though Touma does show up later.
