Tremulant is one of those case-by-case things - I've heard enough bad ones (either poorly built or poorly maintained) that when I was still playing I avoided it pretty much universally. (Part of that may be because so many American instruments end up sounding like theater organs when it's engaged.) I actually prefer it with a light reed more than just flue stops. But both of these examples are reasonable uses.
