Man, I hope the bot stop this annoying habit quickly :nyoron:

Opening an embedded YT video from some forum shitposts with opening new site is really inefficient.

My first question is, why using incognito?
About browser history, couldn't we set it to delete the history once we exit? Or am I just delusional about that setting?

I prefer to keep login info for MD and other stuff and not keep YT cookies because every day they change the UI and it's easier to reroll incognito like some stupid gacha.

Though I've never seen Evans01's issue before, maybe he has some extensions that YT finds similar to bot activity?

Couldn't we selectively delete the history, cookies & data from a certain website we've visited?
Hmm I think I taught Basic_Human about it when he can't login back to his MD main account after he'd been naught with his second account and made his main account login info messed up.

@Evans01 you gotta need to clean your browser once in awhile brother :worry:
Probably some sites you've visited brought any bugs to your browser or something else. It's prolly a sign for you to clean some shit dude :dogkek:

@athayanezant We can, but using incognito is easier for me :nyoron:

I've had the same issue for quite some time already. If you're not logged into youtube and hit enough magic flags in their algorithm, they can IP block you for roughly 1-3 hours. I ended up using freetube to avoid this nonsense.

Since it's an IP block, you could also try using a VPN to circumvent it.

Ah I see, incognito always giving me a little weird feeling, I felt like I'm spying on something even though I actually spying on something [huh?]
That's why I prefer to delete some history first before exit. But I'd ever use my brother's laptop and he has the latest version of chrome, it didn't save any history if I run as a guest. Idk if he probably setting that, I'm not sure about it.

using a VPN
@boursk
I use a private DNS and just tried to play YouTube in incognito, but I didn't even get a problem about playing it.
Also, me & Evans are live in the same country so he probably also has DNS or VPN on, since our country blocked MD.

@athayanezant What I meant was that you could use a VPN after you get IP blocked by youtube.
If you got IP blocked while using a VPN, then you would either need to turn off your VPN or make the VPN change its server location so you can access youtube from a different IP. I.e. the way to circumvent an IP block is to change your IP.

@boursk
You didn't explain about it first, you'd just said "try using a VPN to circumvent it", that's why I tried to play YouTube on incognito to prove if I could get the same problem with Evans or not, the result is; it played normally, just like solstice said, she didn't get a problem like Evans'.
So I assume Evans got that problem probably bcs of his browser has a bug or else.

@athayanezant
The full quote was "Since it's an IP block, you could also try using a VPN to circumvent it." The second "it" in that sentence referred to the "IP block". But it's all good. That's why I explained it further and it looks like it's clear now. ;)

And I don't really have a good way to reproduce the issue. It's more likely to happen if you keep watching videos while not logged in for a long period of time. Incognito mode and/or embed videos and/or the use of ad blockers and/or the wrong time of day can possibly help cause the problem too, but like I said; they're magic flags in the Youtube algorithm. Youtube is definitely blocking your IP over a period of time if they detect "something". It's definitely not a browser bug.

Hmm but you forgot about what Solstice said about her experience.. So yea, let the Evans solve his problem by himself, also, I'm not into a debate in this forum yknow :02:

I wasn't trying to debate you. I just saw that Evans has a problem that I have encountered many times myself, so I shared my experiences and possible solutions... 😅

@solstice258 : firstly, I used a script for downloading some YT vids that I love. And then, many days ago, I using yt-dlp for downloading a youtube video playlist (for efficiency, ofc). But, there's no problem. And then, I using my casual photo scraper extension for digging some necessary photos on my personal things (i.e. scraping a chapter images to compile them as .cbz/.pdf) then bum! like, what? Why does it suddenly become like this? I think if the script/yt-dlp was the case, then I should get the bot block right after using them, not about 3-5 days after.

@boursk : I am using VPN, at exact, a WireGuard + ProtonVPN conf and WARP. I used both alternately each other for some usage (like, WARP for torrent/etc and WireGuard for regular browsing) but then it happened. My WireGuard got blocked totally and my WARP had some blocked, yet some still accesible. I think the case is the false positive bot judgement (and I hope that's the case).

@athayanezant : we've been joking about my laziness right? lol. But yes, opening in incognito is more efficient rather than clearing the history. But, if the issue still continues later, maybe I'll revert my method on that (using regular window then clearing the history).

anw, thank you for sharing the opinion and discussion guys. I'll try solve the problem myself. As I said in my reply for boursk, let's hope it just a false positive bot judgement case. Thank you all! :win:

@Evans01
my guy, the issue is your laziness. You're into a programming but lazy? Ugh.. I'd never got a problem like that because I always play clean, efficient and smart. Tch. I'm a sly fox, remember?
And I understand the preferences for using incognito, but YouTube in incognito? just not it for me. I prefer use incognito when I have to mess with our govt sites [huh? relax it's a joke😙]
