In my opinion, actually harem is not that bad. I treat it just as a variant from a main genre that can be ignored if not interested. But the amount of mangaka that using harem as bait, then procced to focusing only on a heroine is annoying. Just write ur fucking generic romance rather than stupid one sided-harem, dude

@Evans01 mangakas nowadays, "ah let's mix this and that formulas, so we can get much plot twists and readers would like it." Plot twists my ass, go twists your own fkng ass.
Not every authors have a real ability to create stories, imo.

@athayanezant this, the reason ppl hating harem (excluding who actually just dislike it) is this one. The unbalanced harem is only shown inability in story writing. Harem would be great if well executed, every heroine (or hero if it reverse harem) get their route well explained, well shown, and get their chance to win the MC. But when it start used as bait, not surprising if the harem hate grown more. Author really need to fix their writing ability before make a story.

@Evans01 or more like, quit writing if they only could mixing this and that formulas, not every shit that gets a good engagements out there could be applied to anything you write goddammit.
Also, some people simply hate harem because it's not a common things IRL, let's say they don't feel familiar, so they hate it. Humans tend to hate something/someone that they can't feel related to or familiars with, so it's all based on humans nature.
