Eh, yellow was taken for VIPs. The badge itself is a bit lighter and more obviously purple, but I agree that the name shade is kind of dark and hard to distinguish from the 'contributor' dark blue.

Which would be overlapping with the 'power uploaders', though it wouldn't be too hard to use a darker shade there, I think. Green would certainly make sense.

Looking at my list I created, it seems VIP is actually the most rare role you can get (other from staff). MD@H actually has a surprising amount of users, they just barely post so you don't see them much.

Honestly, they could. The Banned title doesn't actually make your username black anymore like V3, so the color is being unused.
