And the encryption scare? You know the one where it's claimed that quantum pc's will be able to crack encryption quickly?
First: There are still no quantum computers anywhere close to that.
Second: It still wouldn't be able to crack encryption if it was encrypted twice with decent algorithms.
Third: There are already quantum proof algorithms out there, the main problem being that a lot of places are very poor with cybersec. Which isn't a new problem. Heck, many servers aren't properly protected against normal hacking tools.
Also, the booth people couldn't really name a proper use-case for the technology.
One named large databases, but did not really explain properly what quantum pcs could do better than digital pcs.
Heck, analogue computing would do it better.
