it's so weird watching the anime because i read the series long enough ago that i only vaguely remember the plot progression so every time a new important character is introduced i get to be like "omg hi!!! i know you!!!!"

it was really hard especially within the first ten or so episodes because i was reconstructing my mental map of the plot but also incorporating 20th century boys because urasawa's character designs are so same-y.
