If it weren't because Griffith literally has this brainwashing charisma-effect to him that makes even the most suspicious things make sense, I'd say all Midlanders are gullible backwards idiots. Heck, maybe they ARE and Griffith is just making things worse (As per usual).

Griffith really had it all planned out, having that little brat to quiet people's epiphany about him probably not being as good as he sells himself out to be. Luckily, something will happen that'll put her in her place already.
