Yea but it's being done by Studio Lidenfilms and if I'm not mistaken it's the most 'ecchi' title they've done so remains to see if it'll be butchered or not. They did do a pretty good job in sticking close to the manga source material with 'Call of the Night' and 'The Legendary Hero is Dead'...
This feels like a whole different genre. I like the drama at the moment (I like the early romcom stuff more) but it’s like there author wanted to write two separate stories and smooshed them together. Think they’ll have a hard time making it work to be honest.
As an aside did I miss something...
True, this is surprisingly realistic and whilst I'm not defending Hanabi one bit, these comments laying into her who's clearly got a mental disorder isn't much better to be honest. The abuse totally isn't justified, but just like real life these people need psychological help rather than...

The author started a new series I Was Supposed to...
Guh.. so I really wanted to like this series but sadly the author took the opening Chapter 'hook' way too far. The tone and story are just practically another genre! So I've now read ahead to Ch68 in the raws and Shoulda just stuck with the vanilla harem formula, without the 'hook' and this...
Was gonna say the only way this setting usually only ever works out happily is when there's a harem end after the third girl joins.
That said, I can work with this spoiler...
Not really.. this is actually based in pretty traditional folklore about mermaids where they were suggested to eat humans, particularly men or the source of major disasters. Certianly very diffrent from the romantic Disney versions we get today.
This is actually kinda realistic.. sadly perpetrators of domestic abuse rarely understand their actions and are frequently sufferers of personality disorders themselves. Not that it excuses the behaviour in the slightest.. kinda props to the author for going there though. Hope MC-kun moves on...
