@DemonHide Not only was it a politics-heavy war, the Vietnamese had obviously a better reason for winning. "Liberation of the people" sounds way better than "keeping the commies out of a foreign country". Not justifying the commies were all that great though (since I'm living in one).

@Kirin-kun I understand where you’re getting at. But most of Rei’s hardship is mentally, while that dude’s is both physically and mentally, regardless of choice. I’m not saying Rei’s mental burden is light or anything, but considering his personality, he would compare himself to others unequally.
