@shinsenryuu I wouldn't be surprised then. The art changed, slightly enough, I'm surprised they found someone with the same kind of art (but definitely not of the same quality). I guess it's about since then yeah that everything went down hill, as you said they introduced friends/princesses...

In the recent chapters I feel the art, rythm (bubbles, movements, poses, etc) all shattered. It has nothing to do with what it was 30 or so chapters before, anything special happened ? The storytelling barely makes any sense now, jumping from one thing to another without any care or setting.

I have a hard time understand anything from the dialogues...

In fact, I don't really care. I just found this silly. Even if you count skirmishes as battles, one per day is still absolutely insane in this kind of era. But hey, why not, it's not like I'm expecting anything out of this series anyway, I can overlook this (if they had a story for this 3 years...
