@AshSua: Because it kind of is: the manga came out about five years ago and only adapts the first book of the novel series (which is itself completed at something like thirteen volumes).

About the defiled thing: it's a translation issue. In the raw version, the prince clearly says that that the development that was supposed to happen was her getting defiled so that he could pretend that he had no choice (but to break off the engagement).

So wait, there's this whole subplot going on whereby Ginger's father is dead and the duke is trying to get hold of her family's fortune by marrying her to his scummy excuse for a son? How can Ginger have that kind of tragic background?! Also, Izana needs to destroy that duke.
