The numbering was just to indicate it was Part 2/3/4/etc of that. With the LN the whole flashback portion was just one chapter. If you'd like to know then It'll be a while before we get the answers to that though.

I'm not dissatisfied with the ending to this but I'm not particularly satisfied either. We did get confirmation of their feelings and they're presumably dating now. Maybe this was intended to be a short story, but still.
