This wouldn't be the first manga to say some character was never seen again, or two characters would never meet again, only for it to happen later. I'm guessing it's some quirk of Japanese that doesn't really translate well, where that phrasing isn't as absolute in Japanese as it sounds or...

@Serakym The MC did say it was about sending a message. So if the noble does come back, it clearly wasn't a strong enough message and so he should escalate his response. We'll see though.

So I'm pretty sure what happened with Siryu is just that Saitama didn't compete in that tournament. The monsterification cells probably didn't happen either. So this Siryu just won the tournament easy (as mentioned in the previous chapter) and didn't have any events to change his character...

@Reimos the guy said that was what got him to look into it deeper. He later said it took him two days to find evidence of tampering. So he did find evidence eventually.

@packnerz I'm pretty sure those partitions are actually there a lot of the time. The authors have taken to breaking apart chapters for more frequent releases in whatever magazine it gets published in, but whenever it gets published as a standalone graphic novel, it will be only grouped by chapter.

From what I remember from the novel,
