Also bear in mind now that Mangadex has been been around for almost 2 years, its rare that massive chapter dumps occur (at least for English). The majority of uploads are single chapters.

@Akiyama I don't actually disagree with you personally - I have been in the fansubbing scene for 10 years and I understand your point completely. @branch Major in the sense that this has been the most requested feature for the past 4 months or so.

@Akiyama Scanlator etiquette is something that that we don't police, because doing so would imply that the first group had some "right" over the translation of the title, which they don't have. That said, groups generally respect other groups and would at least ask before taking over a title...

Even if there aren't any visible site updates, it's not like we're doing nothing. In fact, a lot of work has been done behind the scenes to make sure that the site can still run smoothly despite the +40% traffic we have been getting in the past 4 months.

I didn't realise this was here. If/when we do a NovelDex, this will be a good starting point!

@foobarbaz You can check https://mangadex.org/updates The homepage used to be like that but mass uploads would flood it with old releases, so we changed it like this. On the whole, groups tend to only upload 1 chapter at a time now there isn't much backlog to upload.
