It sounds more and more like MC was set up by his wife Jumi and the brother-in-law is more the Wife’s brother than MC’s sibling’s husband.

Wow! She really was dating him! I thought they were just saying that. But to be going out for 5 years and have a kid with him. Why did she stay with him? So I am guessing 3years after school she got pregnant. I kinda do like they didn’t complete the romance sub plot. As in who she chose.

So I am guessing she NEVER saw or heard of her grandparents and uncles. But hey once people get out of those situations they don’t look back and don’t care to help those that were in their old situations (except for lip service)

She has to activate it by putting her hands together prayer style. In otherwords, that is another flaw in her ability. The range of effect, councious activation, time of effect (can’t do it indefinitely) are the flaws I see in her powers.
