That is a good point. Personally I still like the Manga better, it is "long winded enough" as it is and the MC being useless for 40 Chapters might work in a purely reading medium but probably is a boring read in a visual medium like manga. Also I admit my comment was mostly about the Anime ...

And so it's over. Was it a great manga? Eh probably not. But I enjoyed it and it didn't overstay it's welcome by dragging the drama out to 78 Chapters and gave us a nice happy end. Frankly Endings are "hard" and SO many damn manga miss the landing by a mile so I gladly take this.
