Rather than "quirk", Divine Protections canonically have impulses/compulsions. You need to act like your class, even if your personality is different.
For example, a Thief needs to steal sometimes even if they want to be righteous.
In case of Hero, they must help anyone in need...
In a way, Ares is also "trapped" by his Sage class.
He must act like a tactician and party leader, even if he isn't really good enough. Because his class demands that.
Regular modern version of Olivier salad only has mayonnaise for dressing. Adding mustard or yoghurt would be a modification.
