Most of that has to do with his astonishing talent for underhanded battle(Setsuna states) and his ability to adapt when the situation calls for it. Though, I do want to see him lose sooner or later for the sake of progressing his character.

These upcoming chapters should be fire, Akita and Miu are gonna go to work in a now 2v18 situation. Though Akita is going to have to face Miu after the fact which is going to be interesting.
