My favorite characters in the series were Sang-Woo's friends with whom he ate expired convenience store food. They felt real.
There's some guy on Reddit saying that there is a sequel, apparently titled "La mosca"...
I'm still holding hope that Sangwoo and Suhyeon get a less nihilistic outlook by the end. Either way, I'm hooked and I'm glad we get to see a proper ending to that story.
IMO it's a bit of meta humor. There's been so much stuff since Dragon Ball that there's got to be a hundred case of people nitpicking that a particular power or item wasn't used.
Also, in OG Dragon Ball Krillin forgot that he had no nose while fighting Bacterian.
There could have been another way that type of story goes. A boy grows up on a small village farm with his mom and sister. He'd like to be an adventurer but he has to work the farm and odd jobs to support his family. He spends his rare free time at the local shabby dungeon but he doesn't have...
I'm surprised he doesn't have poison-resistant slimes, or tries to feed a little bit of meat to some of the generic ones so he can discreetly (remotely?) detoxify them to let them gain poison resistance.
IMO, having the meat be inedible was a good idea story-wise. That way the students have to...
I had to go back to 104 because I thought I'd skipped a bunch of chapters. At this point I don't remember what the current arc was about. There's a bit of summary/backstory in 102 if anybody cares.
If the current arc is a flashback story(?) I think it would have preferred it as a spin-off...
"Who's that guy?" was also my reaction. Had to check back and yeah, he got whooped in ch 86-87. Didn't even look cool, Katana Man is a cooler sword man IMO.
Fuck that chairman dude. He could have just paid a bit of money and solved everybody's problem, but the guy is too greedy and now his nuts are gonna fry.
