Guess for the ending: Humanity loses but the gods decide not to destroy them because the fights were inspiring! Not a particularly inventive ending, but it'll be good enough, I guess.

This is just... terrible. I like power fantasies as much as the next person, but this is just so blatant and unimaginative that it's irritating.

On the other hand, The Gamer has characters that actually still exist when they aren't in a panel, unlike Solo Leveling whose very premise (everyone except the MC having a static power level) makes all its side characters two-dimensional cardboard cutouts.

I mean, they're not wrong. This series has very obvious and severe flaws: Its character development is almost nonexistent (leveling up/becoming hot doesn't count as character development); the only actual interesting thing to happen to a side character so far is that someone actually gave in...
