I'm glad I stuck with it. The first chapter was pretty brutal, usually, I drop stories where the MC is treated needlessly cruelly, but it felt so off and I was so confused by WTF was going on, that I couldn't help but continue.
Now, I'm invested.
This was a little hard to get through. This is THE most annoying TS I've ever seen... Like, do you not get the premise...? And I don't need your memes and opinions every 3 pages...
At least they're not ignoring the alien subplot... I'm going along with it because this is a story about a man who has shrunk. Sci-fi should be expected.
@BloodEagle You only gain levels by using your skill. And he doesn't level up no matter how many times he uses it.
Though I agree that I don't vibe with this premise at all.
Carrying on from my previous comment about this "Chase after Emma" stuff, maybe I just don't like Emma at all. He was out of line, dancing is about matching your partner, but slapping him in front of everyone was a bit much. She could've just stopped.
And her being all scared after her speech...
Call me insensitive, but I can't get behind this "Chase after me" arc... What was she mad for in the first place? That if he saw her with another man, he would assume they were together and wouldn't be interested in her anymore, or just wouldn't care? And then she assumed he, what, asked her to...
I was kinda hoping they would call a truce and we could learn more about planetary humans. I figured he'd be understanding since he was a police officer(?).
If I were the kid I'd just be so scared and confused, looking for help or someone who understands. His body and friend from school seems...
@IEatWater Nah they shook hands. Like how you friendly ask your dog for their paw. No one was harmed in transit of the hand. But even scarier, no one was alarmed in the transit of the hand...
Damn, I mean, I get it, but what kind of a terrible father do you have to be to get killed by your own daughter. She doesn't have any bad friends or strangers to show it to?
