I don't know if you (the uploader) is the one who actually wrote this translation, or if you'll even see this, but I thought I'd offer my thoughts on it, chapter by chapter.
I've been studying Latin off and on for a few years now. I'm not really an expert or fluent in the language, so take what...
@MagicTime
Perhaps "fetish" wouldn't have been the best word, since it implies something of a strictly sexual nature, but the kid undoubtedly has an interest (likely begotten of his shitty relationship with his father) in appearing like a woman to others as a result of some internal complex that...
I like the fact that this manga will be cycling through students a lot. It captures that feeling of transience this manga specializes in really well.
Also, I hope that this arc with the crossdressing kid doesn't simply coddle him and enable his issue, and knows how to distinguish between fetish...
@nfzeta
I could just as easily claim that you are "biased" for the daughter by virtue of your defending her and overlooking her behavioral flaws. Your earlier appeal to hormones might be a good example of this. However, I can not see into your head, nor you into mine. Let's leave such airy...
@nfzeta
How can you say that he simply ignores his daughter when he actively tries to speak with and interact with her? He makes efforts to bridge the gap with her, but his efforts are repeatedly frustrated by his daughter's coldness. Whether or not he somehow earned this coldness is not...
@nfzeta
I never said the father was a saint either. Of the two, I'd be more inclined to sympathize with the father (though they both deserve sympathy) because he can't simply see into his daughter's mind to know what he needs to do to make her feel better. I see no evidence that the father...
@Equilibrium
I'm reminded of that "he's a student studying for exams so it's okay" scene from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei.
It's true that she is in a set of bad circumstances; this explains her behavior, but does not excuse it. Selfishness does not cease to be selfishness because there are...
@Equilibrium
Her circumstances are likely not worse than her Dad's. To not only scorn her only provider, but actively cause trouble for him by being a truant is undoubtedly selfish, however realistic it may be for a teenager. To call a spade a spade is not necessarily to pass judgement.
I appreciate the efforts of the scanlators, but I think most people know what "moe" means. No need to hamfist localize it.
Also, Komi's "skinship" was A+.
