I really see no difference between the king, the mother and the father at this stage in the story. All three are arrogant and have caused the very problems they are now facing.
This would be great for like a 30 chapter series. Slasher movie arc, disaster movie arc, and a zombie movie arc. Can have all the tropes being subverted while getting wishfullfillment from a genre aware mc.
This manga feels authentic even with certain cliches and tropes common in manga to move the story forward but it truly is a romantic slice of life without being fluffy. Would read to the end.
