i do think it’s one of the better stories in the anthology (not that’s its saying much, to be honest) but it gives me the ick when a character essentially takes the role of the parent, and then that affection changes from familial to romantic later. the author would have to take measures like...

? misteri is an elf and a master swordsman, whereas cid is human and just some third-rate mob only lucky enough to be the brother of the bushin festival winner. what are you talking about?

the slower it gets to the romance i’ve been spoiled on, the better

there are maaaaaany cases of this being true about boot hour shit curse - like another commenter mentioned, blanc started as a skeleton which means she would be mobbed by humans if she started in the human side (as shown in chapter. 1), so she chose the monster spawn point instead. she got...

i read 220 chapters of the WN and i personally don’t really remember being disappointed by this part in particular? blanc is my favourite character by far and she adds some lighthearted fun that rare, who is overly cautious literally all the time, does not, and as for the aftermath of the...

the girl in question is not a commoner girl, but i recommend reading yona of the dawn if you haven’t. kan tae-jun is the most goated formerly arrogant prince ever

disagree. he feels greatly indebted to sana and she was under suspicion of being a spy—the only reason why she’s even on this journey is because tsubasa bailed her out before she could be interrogated/harmed. giving the information he has to the literal prince of the country could lead to a bad...

she’s a chatty store npc in a video game and you want her to not rattle off dialogue nonstop?

valacirca’s the goat. if it’s western fantasy, grigori from dragon’s dogma is on his level. extremely charismatic and intelligent, the boss has a ton of phases and it takes everything you’ve got (or one maker’s finger arrow) to take him out

The Fool that doesn't belong to this era; The Mysterious Ruler above the Gray Fog; The King of Yellow and Black who wields good luck I pray for your attention I pray that this guy’s prediction never comes true no matter how advanced or accurate AI technology becomes

he was symbolically representing the slums in this meeting, so considering this fact rather than “i would rather die or scurvy” it’s “we would rather die of scurvy”, which is where the problem lies. if it were a personal grudge it would be understandable, but mc crashed out because his pride was...

while the "saving" the love interest from an unwanted confession/harassment trope always makes me roll my eyes, i like the fact that he only saw them from afar and dispelled it with words rather than the usual physical altercation

kids don't know how valuable orcs are and they thought the dead one (which they paid for with info) would be enough for a cure. mukoda phrased it as though he were driving a bargain and undersold how valuable the elixir actually was (random thing he found in his item box rather than a universal...

not my goat wuthering heights

mamiya is so pretty. i wonder if she'll stay a friend character or if she'll be thrown into the romcom hijinks too. i was kinda worried she'd become a doomed rival but i think it's more likely she's either paired with sou or a future male character or stays a friend in the group which i'd...

i think people are entertaining the 'merize is related to iruma' theories too much. we have seen iruma's human parents since chapter 1, we have no reason to believe they aren't blood related and we even see him as an infant during iruma's backstory. henri and merize's relationship as demon and...

brilliant satire ragebait or genuinely too stupid to breathe, call it

kinda surprised that nobody thought to console makiba about his dead grandfather (especially oogami?). is the culture in japan just radically different when it comes to that? i get that its arguably the biggest deal moment for the romance to progress and he might not have been particular close...

"romcoms are great if you remove the com"

this guy is such a fan of popochi that they broke out of the fictional reality of this manga to glaze her here too
