It's from a light novel, and apparently it's still ongoing. From what i recall hearing before, the manga takes an original approach to the ending, so take that as you will.
8 years in the human world since if i recall correctly, Kiyo is now 22 and he was only 14 when he participated in the battle. Mamodo world is different and it's implied they age at a much more rapid pace.
A truly groundbreaking entry in today's industry of overly done isekai and numerous half ass attempts of recreating the past. Original yet mind boggling and highly recommend to read.
Time to wrap this subpar arc up. The next sensei looks like a hex maniac from Pokemon and from what I've seen she is short stacked. Looking forward to it!
