@UglyDuck From what I understood it isn't rape per se but rather there are people who witnesses/watches the consumation of the marriage. Since many women are forced upon these marriages, I'm not surprised there's a big overlap with rape and people watching that makes it even more disturbing 😔

I understand people's reluctance over the LI being closely related, but tangled family trees is par for the course of Royalty (See the Habsburg family for the most egregious example). It's fairly likely that whoever became King if not married already would marry her to strengthen their position...

My main problem with this story is Lamia herself. Her reaction to Aquila, considering what happend with Uriel, is to be expected but otherwise... She's no likeable to me. Her treatment of Uri infuriates me, and her behaviour strikes me as "Holier than thou" and claiming the moral high ground...

But will she get along with the little sister? The drawing at the end of this chapter gives me hope, but I really want to get along and be close for once.

Pity this story only comes out once a month, it's so good and I'm so very curious to see how it goes! Thank you for translating :)
