Them casually going to college together because senpai's a slacker and MC didn't magically become the most famous actress in Japan overnight is a fantastic anticlimactic punchline and fits the tone of the story perfectly.

It's not like a revolutionary development in the romcom genre or anything but I always appreciate stuff like this showing how no matter how close a couple is, they'll still act differently with their same-gender friends than with each other.

I have no idea why people are coming to the conclusion they're aro/ace when the whole point is they're clearly not and have no idea how to handle those feelings despite having them. They might end up staying enby, but if anything the story is heavily pushing them as bi.
