hi hi I'd been reading this and enjoying it for a while, it felt like a lighthearted, low stress kind of adventure, you know. But this latest arc has left me asking myself, "what the eff?" They're really gonna try to whitewash this absolute monster of a character that enslaves people...

This has been a frustrating arc to be sure, but I'm glad to see it finally reached a conclusion. I still feel like Aki x Shiho has about as much chemistry as oil and water, and Himari's meddling made me like her character less and less. (Flashbacks to my own high school days and all.) But...

One of the things I like about this manga is how the protagonist is kind of edgy and anti-social, but the author frames it as being sort of a problem, rather than being 'cool' like most authors would.

*reads the first page* "...Is this in medias res? I can't remember." *backs up to the previous chapter* "Okay, I'm not missing anything." 🤣

Does this... ever involve consent? Like, real consent and not "I agree because you're pointing a gun at my head?"

It really is tragic to be betrayed like that, and it definitely deserves better than being called a monster. But... taking it out on people other than the one who wronged you is still an evil move.

@AkodoRyu Sometimes friends become abusive and stop being friends. (Same with lovers/spouses) The only advice I can give in those cases, from personal experience, is to get out before it gets worse. There are other people in the world, and one doesn't need to let the sunk cost fallacy dictate...
