@FredtheFishLord it's 100% an abusive relationship, extorting all the MC's friends and guilting her into giving attention to her. I was hoping there would be an arc where the mc spoke up and told her how abusive the popular girl is being, but guess not.

That arc was so insanely unsatisfying. I don't think the author It honestly took my enjoyment of the series so SO SO far down
