    The Fantasie of a Stepmother - Vol. 1 Ch. 62 - Epilogue 6 - The Ending of a Fairy Tale (7)

@kooncity Oh, to clarify, I’m actually ecstatic that we’re seeing the story through other character’s eyes because we get to see how Shuli’s death affects the people around her on a micro level. Almost as though we are being told that, “no, Shuli is wrong in thinking she is useless without her...

    The Fantasie of a Stepmother - Vol. 1 Ch. 62 - Epilogue 6 - The Ending of a Fairy Tale (7)

@Thifa @kooncity Bless you. I’ve been trying to get this point across for two hours haha. Like, I don’t know how many times I’ve had to say it, but it’s how the story was chosen to be told. Though it might not directly impact the current timeline, it creates an opportunity to shine more light...

    The Fantasie of a Stepmother - Vol. 1 Ch. 62 - Epilogue 6 - The Ending of a Fairy Tale (7)

@kooncity Completely understand your frustration, but I also feel like because we were essentially looking at events through Nora’s eyes, the perspective presented was a little skewed. It was unfortunately easier to look at it from a romantic lens vs the actual reality of it. Poor Shuli, honestly.

    The Fantasie of a Stepmother - Vol. 1 Ch. 62 - Epilogue 6 - The Ending of a Fairy Tale (7)

@no168_92 That’s why I said that it’s a narrative choice. We’ll only really know if the arc contributes anything to the current timeline once it’s close to reaching a conclusion. If it doesn’t add anything to the current timeline, then it doesn’t. What it does (as I’ve explained before) is...

    The Fantasie of a Stepmother - Vol. 1 Ch. 62 - Epilogue 6 - The Ending of a Fairy Tale (7)

@kooncity Basically this version of him is what we get when no intervention from Shuli ever happens (re: his family situation). It's pretty twisted in retrospect. He's fully attached himself to someone who showed him the slightest hint of compassion because he's been starved of it his entire...

    The Fantasie of a Stepmother - Vol. 1 Ch. 62 - Epilogue 6 - The Ending of a Fairy Tale (7)

@no168_92 It's not just a "what if" scenario because it actually happened LOL. The entire plot REVOLVES around Shuli's REDO because SHE DIED. It's her previous life, in another timeline, so she wants to make it so it doesn't happen AGAIN. I really understand what you're saying but again, the...

    The Fantasie of a Stepmother - Vol. 1 Ch. 62 - Epilogue 6 - The Ending of a Fairy Tale (7)

@no168_92 There is no certain way to verify if it WILL have impact because the arc isn't finished, but it could go a variety of ways. We could even find out how Shuli got a second life or if the miracle was triggered by any of the other characters. Objectively speaking though, the flashback arc...

    The Fantasie of a Stepmother - Vol. 1 Ch. 62 - Epilogue 6 - The Ending of a Fairy Tale (7)

@Legionary_Hunter It's the first timeline. 🙂 A hint: if you notice that the tone of the colors looks too warm or sepia, it's set in Shuli's past life. Hope this helps!

    The Fantasie of a Stepmother - Vol. 1 Ch. 62 - Epilogue 6 - The Ending of a Fairy Tale (7)

@no168_92 @PROGMRZ Put it simply, but here is the thing: The church and imperial family plot would unravel differently in the current timeline vs the previous one because of new events that come into play. There is nothing wrong with exploring what if scenarios from the past life and knowing...

    Brutal - Vol. 2 Ch. 8 - Episode 8

@StellarIceberg In retrospect "hate" is too strong of a word, lol. Dislike is probably what I was going for.

Kemono Jihen - Vol. 11 Ch. 42 - The Rose and the Sun

@Deathhappens This is just me piecing together some things from past panels and my knowledge of true crime/serial killers, but I think Robara gets erections from murdering people. There are real life serial killers that only ever get sexual satisfaction/erections from killing, so I imagine the...

The Strange Adventure of a Broke Mercenary

I really enjoyed reading this. Sad to know it's going to be dropped. :(

    Brutal - Vol. 2 Ch. 8 - Episode 8

The comments section is really... something. Y'all. I hate babies and children. I can't stand them and I don't want to ever have them. But I'm never going to even attempt to kill a child. This guy literally attempted murder on a BABY. He's a woman-hating piece of shit and that doesn't...

    Under the Oak Tree

@SaphireE90 @StellarIceberg put it really succinctly. Unfortunately, Max has been abused all her life and her brain has been trained to think that if people find out she isn't the perfect princess her father made people believe she was, she'd be discarded and deemed useless. Riftan is...

Under the Oak Tree - Ch. 14

@liztomania If you don't mind me saying, So I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with the developments further on. :) With Riftan, I think he's too preoccupied with his own insecurities to notice that Max lacks self-confidence. He constantly thinks about spoiling her or "giving her the...

    Under the Oak Tree

@NomadKingR6 Nope. She doesn't show up in the novel yet. At least from the translations that I've read.

    Under the Oak Tree

@Pokari Sadly, the misunderstandings continue to persist for a while but they do manage to clear up somewhat as they open up to each other more. Maxie continues to hide her true upbringing though. :( There are definitely touches of realism in the novel that I appreciate given the "medieval"...
