I'd like to see the raw. It's been a while since I read the older chapters up to this point, but I don't think this kind of language fits in with the general vibe of this manga, and comes out of nowhere. Is it the translator taking some liberties?

It's peak lazyness. It's another "other world" where mythical creatures have the same name than on Earth (Fenrir, Leviathan, Phoenix,...), some tribes have exact japanese architecture, food and clothes, and so on.
