This should be studied in writing schools as "what NOT to do". The MC is an unknow quantity, an anonymous anomaly, but the world still behave in a way that wouldn't make sense if they weren't here. E.G.:

That's the stupidest way possible to conduct a selection exam. Either no-one can beat the dragon, and everyone fails; or there's at least one, or a small group, that can, and then what? Everyone pass? Or only those who kill the dragon? If the overpowered MC does it alone in 10 sec, everyone else...

You know it's gonna be a bad translation when the MC says "I was possessed by the villainess", when she's the one doing the "possessing".

According to the credits, the translator changed since theses characters' last appearance, so the new guy mustn't have read the earlier chapters carefully. Or they don't know "matriarch" is for women, "patriarch" for men.
