@Kireato It was never specifically mentioned or definitively implied that the elf next to Hecknyar in the flashbacks was his mother, might as well have been aunt, cousin or such. But after rereading the chapter it does seem more likely that Orst is only a distant relative or such.

So from the picture in the book it seems that he is either a hero pf the high elfs and he looked up to him or there is the possibility that he is his father but then i would be suprised why he didn't ask Arito for his location or such.
