I dont know about the novel but looking at the manga it seems like she just release the katana and let it fall from her hands. I dont think an 18 kg sword is practical at all

I think everyone comparing this to solo leveling is justified though. The name is similar. If you read the description, the plot seems similar except instead of double awakening like in solo leveling, its triple awakening.
