I think every time traveler makes a new timeline. Burger guy remembered Wagatsuma from when he was a kid and Wagatsuma is in the flashbacks from the insurrection. We are looking at 5 timelines so far.

I misread it at first. I thought they were in the orphanage together. I know their relationship is pretty transactional but I actually think it is cute. Two kids who couldn't get along with anyone else.

I would actually prefer if they have a wholesome start to their relationship. But I think Kanamori did something calculated to get Wagatsuma on his side. They have an interesting relationship that is deeper than it initially appears. Kanamori definitely cares for Wagatsuma who is not as clueless...
