I don't get it. Henry, Talas and party were near the Aral sea, on their way to a village/town near Bukhara. That is over 1500km away from the nearest sea/ocean that could take them to Bombay. Also, there are no rivers that traverse the Hindukush or the Pamir mountain ranges that reach India. It...

Aral sea now no longer exists. A dam project, currently in Uzbekistan, diverted the water from two rivers which caused it to completely dry up in the mid-90s to early-2000s. The place, where the sea once stood, is now a desert. All those communities have either relocated or have been decimated.

Maborikaigan, mentioned on page 4 is located here. And Funabashi is here. I really like the fact that these places are real and not made up. It makes the story, feel so, all the more, "real". Also, the Alpha on land is model M2. The one in the previous chapter, is M1.

Musashino is a neighborhood in Tokyo located some 20 km away from Tokyo Bay. This suggests that the sea levels have completely flooded the wars like Shibuya, Minato etc. Also, Musashino is referred to as the "old capital" which means that it may have been the interim capital and the "new"...

That was quite an accurate portrayal of how naan are baked in a tandoor. The designs as well - you can find such flowery designs in uzbekistan (and the others). Not the Indian type of naan though. The manga-ka has done her research!

I think the panel on page 10 is meant to show how Suu-chan felt guilty in getting promoted to a Maiko in front of her friend knowing very well that her childhood friend (and colleague) has been 'demoted' from a Maiko to a cook who helps aspiring Maiko. This is why she pulled her handd away...
