The "Malfoid" character predates the trend by a number of years, ever since the first Harry Potter movies came out. It's just received a resurgence because a number of artists picked up on it recently after news about the franchise started picking up again as well.

Is this and 2 other manga really this artists only other works? Thier style is from 70s and 80s mangas characters, with a bit of early 2000s and current styles all mixed together, but the older styling really stands out.

Yes, the fact she looks like her, and keeps wanting to be called "mommy", has me thinking she is actually her mother. Wouldn't be the first time the artist draws an older woman looking young and well proportioned.

I get the feeling that the artist was an assistant to a couple of other artists. One face in a panel reminds of Komi-san style, another face in a different panel reminds me of Tsumiki Ogami style, yet another reminds me of Hitoribocchi isekai.
