I mean we're only seeing it from his point of view, we don't know the other people who've been fired or laid off or have had their lives ruined because of this whole IT situation. The secretary looked mad stressed though so it might be a hellish experience for them too.

It will likely become a harem, maybe the girl from the first chapter (the scene where MC helps fix her hair) will be added as a love interest as well unless I misread something. We can only hope though it's only a love triangle.
