This translation would really benefit from a proofreader. Some of the lines seem slightly incorrect and/or incredibly hard to follow.

The reasoning behind the plan seems to be that they're going to need that magic suction device or whatever that is still in the process of being reassembled. If all hell broke loose, it could get damaged or the old guy and his servants might just refuse to go ahead with its reconstruction...

Snails have eyes on stalks that can move individually and they still see stuff around them. Also, even the human brain does some tricks to merge the different perspectives of the two eyes - I assume something similar is happening here.

In the terms of this manga, this actually counts as serious progress. Make of it what you will.
