I don't understand what Nine's role in the original novel was. Why does he have a this backstory for a character who's insignificant in the novel this world is based on? I'm not complaining since he really needed some kind of personality, I just find it odd.

@game-a-holic Thanks for the heads-up. I struggled to finish the first chapter while wondering the whole time why it's rated so high. Probably the worst start to a manga I've read in quite some time and judging by what you wrote it doesn't get any better. Oh well, plenty of other stuff to read.

Forbidden Scrollery set up its premise in two chapters. Imagine it took 10 chapters for Reimu to figure out that Suzunaan was dealing with youma books and that Kosuzu is going to make her life harder because of that. The fairies manga, Udonge 4-koma and Wild and Horned Hermit also established...

It feels like the manga isn't done with the prologue yet and we're 10 chapters in. I like the interactions between the characters but this really needs some direction story-wise.

I have no desire whatsoever to see anymore of Nine's crying and blushing. Hopefully he'll get sidelined until Yuri heals him because he's just a waste of panels as he is right now. I thought this manhwa's selling point would be seeing Melissa demolish these four twats and not this whimpering puppy.

She has already misinterpreted why Yuri like her, so I don't have any hopes that she'll properly react to Nine's feelings. I really hope she's not as oblivious like Katarina from the other villainess novel.

If it't not written by ZUN then it's not canon. Doesn't mean you can't enjoy and appreciate stories like this.
