Yeah, the biggest problem, imo, is that this is a monthly. A 6 chapter flashback released over 7 months heading to an already revealed conclusion, especially in an arc lacking the MC, is going to drag like crazy.

So many of these revenge series lose their drive so quick. I still enjoy this series, but we are always running full speed towards redeeming the shits that kicked the MC out or tried to kill him. Oh well, hope this arc is fun at least

Bruh, there has been a literal slew of this shit in the B-Tier Isekai series this month. Murderers, kidnappers, rapists, abusive step-parents, all getting a free pass and forgiveness by the MC. A couple of them immediately turned back to crime as soon as the MC was out of sight for "revenge"...
